Waterside
Waterside is situated on the South Promenade in Cleveleys, a small town on Lancashire’s Fylde Coast. A seafront property, it overlooks an extensive sandy beach and the Irish Sea. To the north lie Lancaster and the Lake District, while the popular resorts of Blackpool and Lytham St Annes lie just a few miles to the south.
The property previously served as a nursing home but it is now the subject of an ambitious conversion scheme that will see the creation of 29 high quality apartments. Upon completion, they will offer buyers and tenants some of the most desirable modern
accommodation in the town.

Location
Cleveleys is a compact but self-contained town in its own right, so many residents won’t have to travel far for work, shopping, education or other everyday activities.
However, it’s one of the town’s strengths that it lies so close to other Fylde Coast communities. This whole stretch of coastline is one of Britain’s most popular tourist destinations and the focus is, of course, Blackpool. Post-pandemic, it has been attracting around 19 million visitors each year; people drawn to such well-known attractions as the Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Tower, the Winter Gardens and a very vibrant nightlife. Just a little further to the south lie Lytham and St Annes – both attractive coastal resorts with excellent beaches, amusements and a wide choice of cafes, bars and restaurants.
The region’s tourist credentials help to ensure year-round demand for accommodation right along the coast, and play a vital part in the Fylde Coast economy. However, its various towns also host schools and colleges, hospitals, business parks and many other centres of employment, and thus, they help to keep jobs concentrated in the local area.
The Wider Region
The Fylde Coast is home to numerous sports and leisure centres, golf courses, parks, nature reserves and scenic walks, as well as centres of business and training. Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone, for example, is a focus for flight training and private aviation, as well as for servicing offshore platforms by air.
The Fylde is also a region well served by road and rail, so many other parts of the North West are within easy reach. The fast-growing city of Preston is close by, just a short hop down the M55, and both Lancaster and Morecambe are within convenient commuting range, a similar distance to the northeast.
Looking a little wider, the Fylde quickly gives way to the Forest of Bowland AONB to the east, but the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Park are also within convenient day-tripping distance. Thus, residents of the Fylde Coast have ready access to the best of all worlds – scenic coastline, urban convenience and access to some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain.
